Doula Simoni Cavaliere

Gentle, trusted support for you and your baby

I support mothers and families through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period with emotional care, practical guidance and a calm, reassuring presence.

About me

From my early twenties, I knew I wanted to work in a caring profession. I have always been deeply moved by pregnancy and the journey women experience as they grow, birth and nurture a new life. Supporting families during this meaningful and transformative time has always felt like a natural calling to me.

I am married to Tony, and we have a wonderful nine year old daughter who brings so much joy into our lives. I was born in Brazil and lived there until I was 22, before moving to the UK, a place I now call home. Over the years, I have adopted some very British habits, including drinking plenty of tea and, occasionally, complaining about the weather. Sadly, I cannot teach you samba, as I am usually the most uncoordinated person in any dance class.

The word doula comes from Ancient Greek and means a woman who serves. This meaning reflects the heart of my work. To serve, for me, is to offer calm presence, compassion and reassurance, meeting families where they are, without judgement.

It is a true privilege to support women and families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. As a doula, I am here to walk alongside you, offering emotional support, practical guidance and a steady, reassuring presence during one of the most profound experiences of your life.

Experience and professional background

I bring over ten years of professional experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood in the UK. My work is grounded in a strong healthcare background, combining evidence based knowledge with compassionate, relationship focused doula care.

As a qualified Nurse, Health Visitor and trained Doula, I have worked closely with families across a wide range of circumstances, offering guidance, reassurance and practical support within the UK community setting. This experience has given me a deep understanding of maternal wellbeing, infant development, infant feeding and the importance of early relationships.

Throughout my career, I have supported hundreds of families during pregnancy, birth and the early months of parenthood. I work in a calm, respectful and non judgemental way, supporting informed decision making while recognising the individuality of every family.

My professional background allows me to work alongside medical care rather than replace it, offering continuity, emotional support and reassurance during a deeply significant time.
